In a bizarre turn of events, Sinn Fein president, and hipster heartthrob, Gerry Adams has been named as the new CEO of Resident Advisor, or RA as they are more commonly known.

Belfast born Adams was headhunted by the online music magazine after showing great leadership skills and beard wearing potential during his time in politics.

Wunderground caught up with Mr Adams for a quick chat earlier today, “I’m delighted to have been made the new CEO of the RA. I never ever imagined that I would someday be a member of the RA team but life has a funny way of working itself out. I’m really excited as to what the future holds.”

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in politics, it was a real blast, but now it’s time to move onto a new chapter in my life. As soon as I was approached by the RA I knew it was something I had to do,” explained Adams. “They called me up and I told them yes quicker than you can say ‘coded bomb warning’, it was the easiest decision I’ve ever had to make in my life.”

Mr Adams has also confirmed that RA will be moving their operation to a brand new multipurpose office in Dublin, where Adams and his team will run the new look Irish RA.

“Ireland has become a hub for online dance music publications in the last four or five years,” claimed internet expert Sandy Bobbs. “So it’s no surprise that RA has moved to Ireland and become the Irish RA, or IRA, I’m actually shocked that it’s taken so long to happen.”

According to reports, Mr Adams’s appointment could lead the way for a number of other political leaders to move into the music industry, with Angela Merkel likely to sign for Drumcode, Silvio Berlusconi to collaborate with Benny Benassi and Boris Johnson set to become the third member of Jedward.
